Summer term - the end!

20 Jul 2022

This week in Class 1...

It was a very hot start to the week with the heatwave! We had lots of fun with water and bubbles in the outdoor area before it got too hot.

We enjoyed fruity ice pops to help us cool off and played with the parachute to create a breeze!

We have enjoyed making dens both inside and outside using different objects and items for the roof. We challenged ourselves to find ways of making the roof stay in place and worked together sharing our ideas.

This week, we had some fun with phonics using our knowledge of blending and segmenting playing different games. We put our maths understanding to the test to solve problems and play games too.

We thought about the things we have done and achieved this year in Class 1 and are very proud of ourselves.

We had a little surprise after lunch as Mrs Wray and Mrs Chandler came to award two of our children for being lunchtime superstars and eating all their dinner every day! Well done!

It has been a fun and busy year. Thank you for working so hard it has been lovely to see you all grow and develop new knowledge and skills.

I hope you all have a lovely summer break and I look forward to hearing all about it when I see you next year in the new Class 1!
