Christmas Jumper Day- Martin House
07 Dec 2023
On Thursday 14th December we are taking part in Christmas Jumper Day. The children are invited to wear a Christmas Jumper/festive outfit and we are asking for a £1 donation.
The money raised on this day is going to Martin House. Our Charity Committee have chosen Martin House to be our school's charity of the year, so we will be fundraising for them again later in the year.
The committee contacted Martin House who were delighted to hear that we would be supporting them and have offered to come into school on the 14th December to talk to all the children about what they do and how they help others. The talk is age appropriate for Primary School aged children.
For those of you who are not familiar with this charity, Martin House is a Yorkshire based charity which provides lots of supports to young people and their families, some of this support includes; hospice care for children, bereavement support and other family support. Their aim is to provide family led care for children with life- shortening conditions. It is a place where children, young people and their families can come to stay from time to time along their journey and find support, rest and practical help.
