Comic Relief - Friday 19th March
10 Mar 2021
Red Nose Day is back on Friday 19th March and this year it’s never felt more important to have some fun and raise money to support people living incredibly tough lives. We need the power of funny to turn laughs into lasting change. So we are having a Super Hero themed non-uniform day. Come to school on Friday 19th March dressed as your favourite Super Hero.
Please do not purchase anything new for this event, unless you really want to. Children are more than welcome to come into school in regular clothes (non-uniform) instead of a Super Hero costume or why not get your child inspired and they could create their very own Super Hero costumes!!!
Please make a donation of £1 via ParentPay before Friday 19th March in support of this event.
As well as asking the children to come dressed up we will also be doing different actvities during the day. We will begin by thinking about why we have Red Nose Day and who the money we have raised will help. There will be lots of fun activities for the children to enjoy, one of these will be a class JOKE COMPETITION. This year's slogan is 'Share a Smile' and we definitley all need a smile and a laugh. We are asking all the children to find and practise their favourite/funniest joke at home and come to school on the Friday ready to share their jokes with their class. The funniest joke teller in each class will win a small prize and we will share the jokes with you to help spread a smile further.
