After School Club Provision - Further update following last nights Parliament vote
05 Nov 2020
Good afternoon
Following the vote in Parliament yesterday and the decision to go ahead with the new lockdown rules from midnight last night, we have had further guidance regarding clubs as follows:
The government guidance that came through last night highlighted the below:
After school/extra curricular activity ceases during the period of national lock down unless it is specifically for wraparound care to enable parents to
- work
- undertake education/training
- or for the purposes of respite care, including for vulnerable children.
If your child is signed up for a club, we need you to confirm that you are using it for one of the three purposes indicated above. If the club is not needed for formal childcare for example your child is wanting to attend because they like the activity, unfortunately this is in breach of the current advice and they will not be able to attend the club. Refunds for the half term will be made if this is the case.
Thank you for your help in ensuring we are all following the latest rules to ensure everyone is kept safe.
