Class 4 Forest School

This half-term the children have been looking for animals in their habitats.They have grouped the animals into vertebrates and invertebrates and identified if they are amphibians, molluscs, insects, birds, mammals, reptiles, arachnids, annelid worms or myriapods. The children have gouped plants into plants with seeds and plants with no seeds. They have disected flowers to learn how they reproduce. They have explored the lifecycles of animals and compared the lifecycles of a frog, owl, fox and snake.
​During their sessions the children have developed their den building skills, have used a range of forest school tools, made fires and cooked a variety of campfire snacks. The children have developed their independence and confidence when lighting the fire and have demonstrated great tool skills.
