 Year 5 and 6 looked at images of roundhouses to find out how they were made. They learnt that the walls could be made from stone or wattle and daub. The roof was made with timber supports and thached with straw. They then went outside to use tools, willow and mud to make their own roundhouses. They had to work in teams to cut, construct the structures and to add the daub. They used bundles of willow leaves for the thatch.
