This week in Class 2…
In Geography this week we have been looking at the world map and using it to locate the continents and oceans. We then focused on Europe and used atlases to label the countries in Europe. Once we had found where these are, we discussed borders and find out some of their human and physical features.
In English, we have been exploring how using adjectives can make our writing more interesting and create an image of the place or object we are describing for the reader. We have also explored how we can make our writing persuasive using imperative verbs.
In Maths, we are working on a unit of multiplication and division. We have been building our understanding of the times tables and related facts. We begin by looking at known facts and how we can use these to complete the times table we are working on by adding or subtracting. We have been exploring patterns that we notice within times tables and related tables using visual representations to help us explain our understanding. We then used this knowledge to solve problems.
In music this half term we are thinking about salsa. We began by listening and learning a salsa song and had some fun learning to dance a salsa beat too!
