On Wednesday, the children sang very beautifully in church!

In Science, our unit is Materials. Over the next few weeks we will be answering the question: "What are some common materials that we use every day, and how can we describe their properties?"

To start our learning off we have considered what a material is and named some common ones such as glass, wood and plastic. The children sorted objects by their material, thinking about what they were made from.

Reception have enjoyed learning about why Christians perform Nativity plays in RE. They have thought about the importance of the Christmas story and how people prepare for Christmas. To help us prepare for Christmas, they decorated our tree.

In Maths, reception have been looking at measure. This week we have used the words heavier, lighter, smaller and bigger to describe objects. We used scales to help us compare weight.
