Dear Parents,
Plea for help!!! Can you help with a 30-minute task in the run-up to the 10k race? 30-minutes is all that is required! Honest!
I have finally managed to get my head around all the tasks that need to be done in the run up to the race.....and there are quite a few!!
In an attempt to share the load a bit, I have written some sign-up lists for some of the jobs that need to be done either in the run up to the race, or on the race day itself. These can be found attached to this email, and on the school website, under “News & Events”.
If you are able to volunteer for any of these tasks, then please email me at: hannahtagney@hotmail.com and I will add your name to the list and email you the donation letter or any other information you may require.
I have tried to break down some of the admin tasks that need completing before the race into small, manageable tasks that should take 30-minutes of less to complete.
If everyone could help out with one of these 30-minute tasks, then it could save me up to 50-hours of work!
Many hands make light work, and what would be a monumental task for one person can be broken down into several small and manageable tasks for numerous people, so I have tried to do this in an attempt to reduce the burden on me if possible!
The biggest task is contacting companies to see if they can sponsor the event. There is a separate sign up sheet for this where you can volunteer to contact as few or as many companies as you wish.
I have written a sponsorship request letter which you can download to attach to any emails you send, or hand to the company directly. This will hopefully make it quite a straight forward task, and I’m hoping that many people will once again make this much lighter work!
If you are unable to help out in any of these admin tasks, then there are plenty of roles you could sign up for to help out on the race day if you are able.
