Fabulous Fountains Readers

At the start of this year, we all embraced our new reading scheme, Accelerated Reader, and we have never looked back!

Pupils in the school have been reading now for at least 30 minutes each day. This amounts to nearly 6000 minutes in the year and even that is just the time they have completed at school, so doesn't account for the hours of reading being enjoyed at home too!

We are all incredibly proud of how much you have kept reading and quizzing during your time homeschooling.  So many children have reached their reading targets at home again this term. That really is a huge achievement and we hope you are as proud of yourselves as we are of you!

So huge congratulations to the fantastic number of children who have achieved their AR target this half term. This is our largest number so far. You are just brilliant! Celebration Postcards will be winging their way to all of you.

Also as promised, during the beginning of the holidays we will be sending 15 Little Ripon Bookshop book vouchers to each of the amazing pupils who have managed to reach their targets every half term this year! Achieving this is really hard and shows a real dedication to reading so definitely worthy of a little treat.

Enjoy your summer reading... we are having a break from AR until we get back. My summer reading challenge for myself is to try some books which I wouldn't normally choose. I will let you know how I get on !
