Indian Culture

27 Nov 2019

On Wednesday a lady called Yazzi came to run workshops with each class focusing on Indian culture. The workshops were very interactive and offered everyone a hands on opportunity to learn about this culture. Yazzi was from Skipton and reinforced the message that although this culture started in India it is now part of our multi-cultural society. She taught us a few words in Urdu and told us a bit about herself.

After the introduction there were 4 different activities for us to try out;

- Block printing

- Henna designs

- Trying on clothing

- Making chapattis

Class 1 got a chance to do some Bangra Dance, they were brilliant at it!

Yazzi finished the session by answering any questions we had.
