Enrichment

Today we launched our multi-cultural week, we gathered in the hall for an assembly and we talked about what we understood by culture, society and multi-cultural. We talked about the difference between a culture and a country and thought about England as a multi-cultural society.

Our first day of the week kicked the week off with an exciting, energetic African Dance workshop. Each class had a  session of their own. We warmed up, joined in activities and practised dance steps all linked to the African culture and African dance.

During the session we were able to hear lots of different pieces of African music. We learnt about the strong beat in African music and used this to time our movements.
