TRANSPORT WEEK
We've had such a lot of fun these week. We've been busy finding out about lots of different forms of transport.
Some of us choose to carry on with last week's project and investigated Space vehicles and travel. Others have found out about tractors, fast cars, submarines and airships.
We have been travelling all over the place... even to other planets!
Here's a selection of some of the brilliant work completed by Class 2.
Fantastic Model Making by Edward and Sam Crouch:
They both also did some science tests.
Edward tested how well his car travelled on different slopes.
Sam made another rocket and filled it with vinegar and bicarbonate of soda, which made an explosion ... it shot off into next door's garden!

We began the week by choosing a vehicle to drive and travelling anywhere that we wanted to go:
Antonia, Izzy, Jess, Oli, Sam C, Tora, Will
We made fact files about vehicles of our choice. We researched the history of some of the vehicles:
Antonia, Jessica - Aston Martin, Oli - submarine, Sam B. - crain, The Silver Serpent, tractors, Sam C. - mountains bikes, vans, rockets.
Oli -History of bicycles:

We have enjoyed researching about Emergency Vehicles:
Edward, Izzy, Jessica, Oli, Sam B, Sam C, Tora and Will.

Sam B and Tora did a traffic survey to see which vehicles went through Sawley. Then they made graphs to show their results.
In other maths work, we have been working on symmetry,, making pictures of vehicles from 2D shapes and measuring temperature.
Hattie, Jessica, Sam B, Tora
We tried to think of a vehicle for each letter pf the alphabet:
Billy, Jessica, Sam C
Izzy, Jessica and Oli made story trains, after reading 'Oi, Get Off My Train!'
Enjoying being outdoors:

Helping others.... Sam B has been busy again! It's good to help whenever you can.

Oli has sent another riddle about commas. Can you see the difference that the comma makes?!
Did you know that commas can save peoples life?
This is the one with a comma.
Let’s eat, Granny
And the one without a comma
Let’s eat Granny Love 💖 Oli
Well done everyone!
Thankyou for working so hard again this week.
Have a great weekend!
Love from Mrs Micklefield
