Around The World GIFs | Tenor  All Around the World

Class 2 have been thinking about places all around the world this week.

Erica's  picture of things that make our world special

We wrote about some of our favourite places.  Sam thinks that home is the best place!  Jessica, Antonia and Edward wrote about favourite holiday places:

We have been thinking about our families and the place where we live.  For some of us, our families have also lived in another place in the UK or a different country in the world.  Many of us also have family members who live somewhere else.  Here are some presentations from Edward and Oli:

Archie investigated which countries fruit comes from.  He also noticed the symmetrical patterns:

We enjoyed reading 'Meercat Mail' and the story inspired us to write some travel reviews.  We also researched to find facts about real meercats:

We have been thinking about adjectives and alliteration.  We tried to think of a describing word for each country that had the same letter.  We came up with some funny descriptions!

In maths, we have been thinking about shapes and symmetry.  Here are some of the beautiful symmetrical drawings that we did:

Here are some pictures showing other fun things that we have been doing... building dens, strawberry picking and mole trapping!

Some of us have enjoyed making models. Here's Oli's model of the 'Birds's Nest' building, Tora and Sam C made rainforests and Sam B used lego to make flags:

Archie made Big Ben out of lego:
